The Living Goddess of Glastonbury

The Goddess Temple of Glastonbury is the first British Goddess Temple for 1,500 years. It is attended by the Priestesses of Avalon, who honour the Goddess: the divine feminine, now coming back in the world.

Launched! 'Priestess of Avalon, Priestess of the Goddess'

Press, priestesses and well-wishers were at the Georges Room in the Glastonbury Experience courtyard today to celebrate the publication of priestess Kathy Jones's latest book, 'Priestess of Avalon, Priestess of the Goddess'.

"This feels very, very exciting," Kathy told me. "It's like giving birth to a baby. 'Priestess of Avalon, Priestess of the Goddess' has been so many years in the making. It's based on ten years' work and it's taken three years to write. I think it's the definitive book on what it means to be a priestess.'

Kathy's no stranger to publishing: this will be her ninth book. And weighing in at 544 pages, it's probably the longest so far.

So where better to bring it to light than the warm June sunshine of the Isle of Avalon?

We wish Kathy good luck and blessings for this book.

If you want to buy it, you can order it, at £14.95 (UK rates) from:
Counterculture, The Long Barn, Sutton Mallet, Bridgwater, TA7 9AD.

Merry Meet Christina!

At first, I would like to thank you for your project.
Since I was in Glastonbury last year, I missed a little connection to 'my real home'.
I often visited the websites of the Goddess Temple and from Kathy Jones, now you've heard my prayers und you're writing a blog about everything I want to know - thank you!

Every entry in your blog sounds so ... I don't know. I enjoy reading every line and I imagine how it would be on the Tor so very early in the morning...
Oh I miss Glastonbury so much!

The new book by Kathy Jones sounds really good. I tried to order it here in Germany, but unfortunately you can't get it here. I'm very sad, because I would like to read this book, absolutely!

I hope you'll continue this blog.
I look forward coming entries!

very warm greetings from Germany!

Hello Darja!

It's so exciting that you're reading the blog from Germany! And I'm really glad that you're enjoying it. That's brilliant. Not everyone can get to Glastonbury, but with this technology we can send out Glastonbury Goddess news to the whole world all the time. I think it's fantastic.

To get Kathy's book you could write to the address given and ask them to phone or email you...eventually that way you'd get hold of a copy.

Keep watching the blog. We're going to be putting more writing on, and pictures and podcasts...lots of things...so spread the word!

All the best

Christina
